Waves list for April 2015 Race


Race Check-In:

The check-in table will be just before the front desk to the Y. 

Transition Areas:
Athletes will use the Men’s and Women’s locker room area as their transition area, all gear must be kept there.

Wave Start Procedure:
The first wave will start at 8:30 a.m. in the pool area, all athletes must be to the pool area five minutes prior to the start of their wave. 



Swim:
The swim will be 10 minutes and there will be volunteers keeping track of the athletes distance.  A volunteer will hold a red board in the water signifying there is one minute left to swim and athletes may attempt to complete no more than one lap.

From the pool athletes will go through the transition area (locker rooms).  There will be a 10 minute transition time from the swim to the bike. 

Bike:

Athletes will exit the transition area and report to the Spin room at the end of the hall. The spin will be 20 Minutes.  Volunteers will check the athletes’ computer at the end to calculate distance traveled.

At the end of the bike segment athletes will turn right out of the spin room and proceed up the stairwell to the designated treadmill area.  Athletes will have 5 minutes to make this transition.

Run:
The run portion will last 15 minutes, volunteers will record each athletes distance at the end of 15 minutes.

The total distance will be tallied and results will be posted as soon as they are available.  Awards will be given at the conclusion of the event.
